1,665 euros raised for the Nepal project!
The earthquake in Nepal has caused major losses. It has left more than 8,000 people dead and destroyed much of the country.
The organic farm The house we work with, very close to Pokhara, was largely destroyed, but the family was unharmed. The impact for this family has been great, they have been living in one room only as the rest of the house was not suitable for them. For our part, we have had to postpone the travel of several people as it was not safe to travel at that time.
After this tragedy we started to receive many messages from people who wanted to help. Some of you have collaborated in this project, others have collaborated in other Tumaini projects and others have wanted to do your bit even if you have not travelled with Tumaini.
Thanks to this initiative we have raised 1,665 euros that will help Govinda's farm to return to normality. We have no words to thank you for your help. It is one of the things that keeps us working. To see that Tumaini is made up of many people and that you are always willing to help.
The proceeds will go entirely to the project so that the reconstruction work can begin as soon as possible. We believe that from July onwards we will be able to receive volunteers, so we will keep you posted.
Namaste!
