Tumaini Meetings 2018: your first step towards a solidarity journey!

Peru, Kenya, India, Bolivia... would you like to meet them in solidarity but don't know how? This year, do you want to take advantage of your holidays to, in addition to sightseeing, collaborate with small NGOs that need volunteers? Come to the traveling talks of Tumaini from Madrid, Barcelona and Alicante and we will tell you how a solidarity trip can change your life (and that of others!). Give classes to boys and girls with few resources in Peru and Mexico; take care of animals in Bolivia and Thailand or protect the environment in Bali and Nepal are just some of the trips offered by Tumaini.

What will you find in the encounters?

It is a traveling, fun and supportive space where the Tumaini team gives the keys to volunteering in a southern country. The association reviews what a solidarity trip is, how it differs from a "conventional" trip, who can participate, what types of solidarity trip exist, how they are organized, etc. In addition, there is a review of the NGOs with which Tumaini collaborates in countries of Asia, Africa or Latin America, it explains what the projects consist of, what tasks the people who travel do, etc.

But the real protagonists of the Tumaini Meetings are the travelers of the organization. People like you and me, of all ages, backgrounds and professions, take the bus and explain how they experienced their solidarity trips: what it was like to adapt to life in the jungle; how was their relationship with the children of Kenya or what they learned with Tibetan refugees are just some of the experiences we live thanks to them. Their anecdotes, laughter and emotions will make us dream and make us want to travel and collaborate!
