This weekend, Tumaini will participate in the VI Solidarity Economy Fair in Madrid to spread a way of traveling that is more respectful of the environment and local cultures. He Saturday the 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the Clock House, we will talk about responsible tourism, are you coming?
What is the fair?
It is the reference space of the Solidarity Economy of Madrid that will take place during the weekend of September 23 and 24 in the Casa del Reloj, next to the Madrid slaughterhouse (Paseo Chopera, 6). It is organized by the Madrid Alternative and Solidarity Economy Network (REAS Madrid) and the Social Market of Madrid, of which we are a part.

More than 100 companies and entities that believe that another economy is possible will come together to offer their services and products. Thousands of people will come to learn about ethical consumption options and sustainable: fashion, natural cosmetics, furniture, decoration, household items and drugstores, finances, ethical insurance, education and training, renewable energy, construction and efficiency, cleaning and gardening, transport, food, design and graphic arts, the media and a long etc.

Do we learn about responsible tourism?
The Fair is also a meeting space to learn, share and have fun through workshops, talks and recreational activities. A total of 70 activities will be carried out, including the talk on Responsible Tourism that we will give from Tumaini.
More than a billion people pack their bags every year to travel the world. What effect does it have on the countries we visit? How can we minimize our impact on both society and the environment? Furthermore, how can our trips benefit local communities? These are some of the questions we will answer in our talk.

In addition, there will be other initiatives such as: collective entrepreneurship with activities aimed at those people who are thinking of starting a business or who have already started, and are interested in learning how to do it collectively, alternative consumption and social transformation to publicize consumption models based on social equality, care or transformation and, finally, sustainability and agroecology to promote more sustainable production models based on the conservation of biodiversity. The children's activities They will also have their reserved space at the Fair, and there will even be a stage with live music, theater and radio.

The activities will take place both in the CC Auditorium. Clock House and in two adjacent spaces that belong to Matadero Madrid (Espacio Plató in the Cineteca building and Terrario in the Intermediae). There will also be outdoor activities. The program will take place on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
