Educational solidarity trip to Ecovillage in the Sacred Valley
Help with homework, art workshops, activities, games and outdoor activities for children and the community of the Sacred Valley.
This project is located in the village of lamay and consists of a community house whose The main objective is to provide a safe space for the whole community with the idea of offering a place for the local population to meet, exchange and learn. We work both with children at risk of exclusion living in the area and with their families to offer them a safe space where they can develop the values of identity, friendship, community, inclusion and learning.
This centre has a library and technology area, a toy library, an area for various workshops, various clubs (reading, cinema, sports, etc.).
The centre originally opened its doors in 2015 in the Sacred Valley but has recently moved to the village of Lamay in this new concept of integrated community support.
The number of people who come to the centre varies according to their needs and availability at the time, as well as the age of the children, although the usual range is between the ages of 3-4 years at 15 years. Many of these children have had to drop out of school or attend school for a short time because they work to support their families. The timetable for working with them is in the afternoons.

According to Tumaini travelers, the best thing about this solidarity trip is “working with the boys and girls in this space away from their conventional day-to-day life where there are tasks, bad moods, disrespect, alcoholism, machismo, violence... and when they arrive here they see different adult role models who give them love, lots of love”
