Eneko's experience in Kenya: It is impressive how these children face life

For Eneko this has been his first experience in a Solidarity Trip. He spent three weeks in the Kenya project. That's how he lived it!

The first two weeks I was alone with 12 children, because they were on vacation at school, and the rest went with their relatives.

The first two weeks were play, play, play. In the morning, at noon and in the afternoon!!!! play
Let's go with anything, ball, marbles, tree leaves, wheel tires, …..

But I think what they liked the most was taking a walk around the surroundings. Since they do not have permission to leave the premises, if there is a volunteer, and they want to, they are allowed to go out with them. They asked us every day "Let's go for a walk"!!! they like it and me too!!

It's true that I I have no experience with children, nor am I an educator of children, and I have seen myself a little short with games, but there was always something to play with or how to play!!

The last week has been totally different!!! The rest of the children have come (in total 36 children) and have started school.

They had no free time to play, just recess. I I have been in a class helping to do the exercises and helping the teacher a little.

I'll keep what I've learned!! ANDIt is impressive how these children face life!! Looking into your eyes, you transmit happiness and desire to live, and it is difficult for you to imagine the situations they have experienced.

They share what little they have, they play with what little they have., ….. it is a subject (and I think the most important one) that should be taught here!!!

What I liked the least is the type of driving or the traffic in Kenya!! Starting with the «Matatus». But in Quest For Happiness I have not had anything bad!!

"Before, while and after" the trip, Tumaini They have informed me of everything, they have warned me of everything, they have helped me with everything and they have cared about me!!!!! I have to thank them and a lot for this experience lived thanks to them!!!!!!

In the project they have treated me like their sonWe did a two-day excursion to a town 200km away with the excuse of getting out of the area a little and seeing a little more of Kenya!! They have offered me everything, and they have given me everything. I have great affection for them and appreciate them very much.
