Hello everybody,
This week we are organising a very special event where all proceeds will go to the Quest for happiness project on the outskirts of Nairobi, the capital and largest city of Kenya.
We visited and volunteered at this project in January and were captivated from the first moment. The couple who founded it are locals, she from the Maru area and he from near Masai Mara. When their biological children became independent, they decided to embark on this adventure of creating a new family, this time bigger than their real one, taking care of 27 children, of different ages, with very sad stories behind them and who had to grow up and stop being children to survive at a very young age.
Little by little, they have been gaining their trust and love, thanks to the fact that they have become their family: with patience, love, understanding, honesty, etc.
We would like to thank all the people who have made this event possible, We are waiting for you, or as they would say in Swahili, which is the official language in Kenya: "Karibu sana".
