Where children sleep in different parts of the world

Hello everybody! 

Today I am not going to talk about any new project because I have been working in Spain since February to launch Tumaini soon, but I wanted to share with you an article that I found very interesting.

It is a photographic project by an Englishman named James Mollison entitled "Where children sleepThe project, which wanted to show different places where children from all over the world sleep, is impressive to see the diversity and I think it is important that we all reflect on the inequalities that exist. The series of photographs presents a portrait of each child or adolescent and their bedroom. While some have an abundance of possessions and a bed to rest in at night, the images reveal that others are not so fortunate. Sometimes it can even be difficult to even refer to the sleeping space as a bedroom as there is no real bed. This is the case for Bilal, a 6-year-old Bedouin shepherd boy who sleeps on an outdoor mat with his father's herd of goats. In contrast, 4-year-old Kaya lives in Tokyo and has a room full of toys and luxury items, her mother spends 1,000 USD a month on her...


Other examples are 8-year-old Roathy living in Cambodia or 7-year-old Indira in Nepal.



On the other hand, you don't have to go to the countries of the South to see the inequalities between them, one of the examples is this little anonymous boy in Rome, Italy.
